I hosted my first reader get-together in Omaha in 2008 when I attended my first Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting—less than a dozen of us met in a hotel lobby. Fast forward to last year, and I had to host three sessions. (Never underestimate value investors’ enthusiasm for free food!)
This year, we’ve rented a large room at the Embassy Suites Old Market Omaha.
This was a wide-ranging Q&A session on Uber, using AI, investing in Europe, and more. We discussed:
- When should you be fully investing vs keep cash? Do you invest in other markets with threats to the US dollar?
- What do you think about investing in Europe?
- What is your thesis on Uber? Do value investors have marriage issues?
- Is Uber overearning and underpaying drivers?
- Would you consider investing in Chinese DiDi?
- How do you write prompts to use AI for research?
